How BD wins with brand in the AI age.
Tue, 10 Nov 2026 12:00 - 14:30
Venue: If you are interested in hosting complimentary places are available
Why it's a BD session.
BD teams now make most of a firm's client material themselves. Pitches, proposals, credentials and capability statements are written, built and sent by BD, often with an AI tool doing the first draft. The tools are quick with words but the templates being used were never built gen AI. The output drifts off brand, every firm's pitches start to read alike, and clients notice. In one survey of 3,887 client organisations, 70 per cent said they would not trust a report created using AI.
BD have a role to play in fixing this through how the team works and what it asks the brand team for. That makes it practical and squarely BD, and it should ruffle a few feathers.
Delegates leave with their own reading of where their firm stands and five habits they can start on the next working day.
The PSMG Annual Summit - "The Next Five Years: Who will trust the Professionals?
Thu, 29 Apr 2027 08:00 - 17:30
Venue: One Moorgate Place, London, EC2R 6EA
Limited sponsorship opportunities available!
What, precisely, will clients still be willing to pay a premium for in 2030?
The professional-services industry has spent decades selling expertise. The next five years may determine whether expertise remains the product — or whether trust, judgement and accountability become the product instead.
For generations, the great professional-services firms have derived their power from a relatively simple proposition: they possess scarce expertise, they are trusted to exercise independent judgement, and their reputation allows clients to outsource difficult decisions to them. That proposition is now under pressure.
Artificial intelligence is making many forms of expertise cheaper, faster and more widely available. Clients are increasingly capable of bringing work in-house. Regulators are demanding greater accountability. Geopolitical fragmentation is challenging the idea of the genuinely global firm.
Conflicts of interest are becoming harder to manage as firms expand into technology, implementation and adjacent services. And a generation of clients is beginning to question whether the traditional professional-services model — people, hours, offices and expensive advice — still represents value.
We want to know what comes next. And we want to answer the uncomfortable questions that will surely be raised in this fast paced and insightful Summit.
The question for us all is therefore not simply “How will AI disrupt professional services?” It is: What will give professional-services firms authority, commercial power and public trust over the next five years?
During these exciting times we will explore the changing sources of power for all those in the professional services sector including lawyers, accountants and management consultants and will ask which firms will gain influence, which will lose it, and why.
Come and explore in depth what the future holds and find out whether your firm will be amongst the winners!
Let's look forward together.
