WEBINAR How to Pack a Punch on a webinar

WEBINAR: How to Pack a Punch on a webinar

28 Apr 2020 12:00 - 13:00

Webinar Host: Client Talk

As content and events have moved online, many of us are wondering how we can achieve the same level of engagement with a webinar as we did in person. Unfortunately, many of us have come to expect webinars to be one of, or a combination of, the following: uninspiring; long-winded; boring; an information dump and a handout read out loud.

With professionals working from home, we are divorced from our usual office set up and now thinking how we can make sure that our brand is maintained and that webinars aren’t low quality or amateur.

WEBINAR Relationship refresh business development in times of big data

WEBINAR: Relationship refresh; business development in times of big data

30 Apr 2020 12:00 - 13:00

Webinar Host: Tikit

Business development in the professional services sector is driven by relationships and the ability to introduce and be introduced. Contacts sit at the core of every network, but in order to harness their potential they need to be available to everyone and be updated with information on a regular basis.

This has been the “CRM dilemma” ever since such systems crawled from the sea and lay panting on the deserted shoreline of legal technology. A CRM will only be used if it contains useful information and it will only hold useful information if it is used.

WEBINAR: Driving growth in professional services firms

12 May 2020 12:00 - 13:00

Client Talk has been on a quest to find out what really drives growth in professional services firms - and they are going to share their findings with PSMG.  Client Talk have created a growth equation - and the factor that has the biggest impact on growth might surprise you.

Claire Rason will walk us through her growth equation and discuss some of the things that might be standing in the way of growth.

The session is a must have for in-house marketing and business development teams looking to find a reason to inspire their professionals to "do BD". It is also a must for those involved in Client Listening.

WEBINAR: Driving Growth in practice - the 4Cs of being in house

09 Jun 2020 12:00 - 13:00

WEBINAR Host TBC. Host firm receives complimentary places

This is the second in a 2 part series. Attendance at Part 1 was not essential

In professional services firms, the key to success can be found with the professionals that make up the firms themselves.  The success of a marketing or business development strategy in large part comes down to how it is implemented.  If the professionals do not buy-in, or are unwilling to implement it, the strategy falls dead in its tracks.

We know what our teams should be doing, but, how do we address the elephant in the room - "It's just so hard to get professionals to do BD".

Claire Rason, founder and director of Client Talk, will take us through her 4Cs model (c) of working with professionals.  She sets out the different hats that marketing and business development professionals need to wear in order to get the most from the professionals they work with.

Building Relationships amp Influencing Behaviour A PSMGCourageous Co full day Masterclass

Building Relationships & Influencing Behaviour: A PSMG/Courageous Co., full day Masterclass

01 Sep 2020 - 30 Sep 2020 09:00 - 17:30

Venue: London TBC. Host firm receives complimentary places

This is a one-day programme to support Marketing and Business Development Managers.

We are currently working on a date with Michelle Elstein and Andi Stapleton we can offer you in September. This has been postponed from 29th April 2020

As BD and Marketing professionals, we want to create value for our firms. In order to be effective in achieving this, we must engage partners to execute on initiatives; whether this be in support of specific clients or campaigns or trying something new. It can be a real challenge to have to ‘persuade’ partners to get involved and there is a whole myriad of reasons for this. In the end, we often find ourselves frustrated with the pace of change and progress.

There are three things at play here which we address during this one-day programme:

  • How to build effective relationships once you understand the partner mindset
  • How to influence their perception of you
  • Managing expectations and communication to engage partners in BD

There is no option to stop trying to effect change and introduce new ideas that are aimed at influencing clients to choose your firm over others. So, there has to be a change to the way we go about engaging them in things they perhaps are less inclined to do.

But so too is the way in which we choose to work.

Our sector continues to experience unprecedented speeds of change with mounting pressure from all directions - clients and partners, new technologies, and disruptors offering new business models that break from our traditional ways of working.

At the heart of this is the new generation of professionals, within your own firm and those of your clients, who will be the most demanding yet, with the expectation of diversity on many fronts: people, career development, workplace, technology and well-being.

The future of professional services is undergoing a seismic change and the role of firm culture will be more significant than ever.

How can we, in marketing and business development, be instrumental in driving the direction of cultural change so often needed within our firms, and develop the skills required. We must now position ourselves to be at the forefront and integral to the fast paced changes affecting our sector.

Join us for insights, opinions, comments and thought-provoking debate from some of the most informed and inspired voices in professional services.
