Marketing and Business Development Executive

The Company:

A boutique Law firm in Cambridge are currently recruiting for an experienced Marketing and Business Development Executive to sit within a stand-alone firm. This role reports into the Head of Business Development in the head office.

The Responsibilities:

• Support the Partners to generate a local business development (BD) plan by providing high quality BD support in a timely and professional manner and giving creative advice and support in relation to local BD activities.
• Assist with evaluating ROI on all marketing activities conducted in the office under the guidance of the local Partners and the UK Marketing Manager.
• Contribute to the content of publications and promotional material for the office, steered by local Partners, and manage the distribution of promotional materials to targeted mailing lists that reflect local business opportunities.
• Assist with the planning and arranging of BD events of all descriptions, including client dinners and hospitality events, seminars and sponsorships, helping the office to achieve maximum impact and ROI. Maintain marketing diary with all key regional events.
• Maintain and develop BD and client relationship data, for example, information on systems such as Interaction, storage and maintenance of all materials (pitch records, CVs, experience statements and contact/mailing lists) to ensure data is clean, up to date and easily accessible.
• Maintain good level of local sector knowledge and commercial intelligence by reading all relevant sector publications and electronic news sources and maintaining close links with relevant local networks.
• Liaise with partners and fee earners on a regular basis to keep up to date with what's happening across the region and facilitate information flow to the Head of Communication.
• Support the Partners by acting as a conduit between them and the Marketing and Business development department to help them understand key BD messages, brand strategy and marketing output in all its forms.

The Candidate:

• Degree educated or equivalent
• Previous Professional Services, Financial Services or Legal Sector experience
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
