Job Description

We are currently working on a great opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the Hong Kong office of an international law firm. You will be aligned to the firm’s litigation practice group and will report into the Director of Business Development.

Key responsibilities in this role include developing business plans and business development initiatives for the practice group and advising the Partnership on relevant marketing campaigns that will help the firm achieve practice group objectives. You will be responsible for analysing market research to help identify new leads and opportunities, developing client pitch books and managing all directory submissions. You will also be collaborating with global and regional teams on strategic, highly visible projects and will help drive client development initiatives for the practice group forward. This is a very Partner facing role and you will work closely with Partners on thought leadership and business development initiatives.

In order to successfully apply for this role, you will be degree educated or equivalent with a strong background in business development which has been gained within a professional services environment, ideally legal. A solid understanding of the litigation practice area is highly advantageous and you will need to be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the firm. Excellent verbal and communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential.
