Job Description

•Helping with the preparation of Not for Profit business development plans as well as managing delivery of the plan in the Birmingham office. Coordination of activities across the central region as well as being the sector link for the region.
•To work with Not for Profit partners within the Birmingham office, leading meetings to generate and convert business development opportunities, cultivate target relationships and develop action oriented targeting plans
•Managing the tender process in Birmingham and provide strategic advice on others across the region.
•To propose, organise and deliver a programme of seminars and events for the office, within budget, taking full responsibility for every aspect of event management including follow up and measurement of ROI. Link in with the rest of the region to ensure sector synergies.
•To support the Not for Profit team in delivering all external communications material and collateral, within brand guidelines, to support campaigns. Includes use of Communigator, word templates and the in house design team
•To support and deliver joint initiatives with intermediaries, ensuring the activities meet objectives and provide ROI.
•To ensure all events and campaigns are tracked on SLX and all leads, referrals and contact information is recorded appropriately.
•To carry out lost tender and lost client debriefs and assist with external client reviews where appropriate
•Coordination of internal communication of BD activity within the office
•To plan and implement a social media strategy for the sector in the region.

The Candidate:

•The role will require occasional travel across the region and occasional national travel.
•The role requires a very well organised individual with drive, enthusiasm and ability to challenge Partners to deliver the best results.
•A marketing professional with a good level of marketing and business development experience, preferably within a professional services environment
•A CIM qualification or Marketing related degree
•Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the Firm
•A proactive and self-motivated individual who can take full ownership of initiatives and drive these forward, delegating where appropriate
•Ability to influence and advise Partners
