Michelmores and Isaac Parker in £15,000 joint pro-bono project
Devon based charity Hospiscare is celebrating a £15,000 windfall to develop its website after winning an annual pro bono award from a top design agency – and all thanks to Michelmores Solicitors.
The law firm had been approached by Isaac Parker, a London based web design agency which focuses on the legal sector, to nominate a charity for their annual award of £15,000 of free design and consultancy services. The award is aimed at supporting the promotion and development of a pro bono project of their choice throughout 2010.Mike Bean of Isaac Parker commented:
“I am pleased to award the prize of £15,000 worth of design and consultancy services to Michelmores and their chosen charity, Hospiscare. Congratulations on writing an excellent entry and I look forward to working with you all over the coming months.”
Suzanne Rushforth of Hospiscare said:
“Michelmores have been fantastic supporters of Hospiscare and have already raised over £31,000 in the past year. The firm nominated Hospiscare for the Isaac Parker Award and sent in the winning entry. We are absolutely delighted because this will make a real difference to us.”
The money is to go towards a project aimed at improving the way Hospiscare communicates with 16-34 year- olds by developing a dedicated microsite supported by social media, interactive games, literature and fund- raising events.
Suzanne Rushforth continued:
Shivaji Shiva, a Michelmores associate who leads the firm’s charities and social enterprise team, added:
“This is a magnificent gesture by the Isaac Parker agency whose creative flair and technical expertise will combine to make a real impact on a specific and targeted campaign for Hospiscare. I am delighted that Michelmores was able to play a part in securing this award.”
