Primus Inter Pares – the Nisus Consulting FTSE 250 report 2009.  

Nisus carries out in-depth research among FTSE 250 companies every two years.

This year they researched prospective spend, panel sizes, billing mechanisms, the move to fixed fees and best practice billing.   The core of the research was what makes the best firms stand out from the rest. 

 

Each respondent nominated their "first among equals" firm.  The results were fascinating and the research clearly shows what a firm has to do to position itself to gain competitive advantage; how smaller firms can compete more effectively against their larger counterparts.  This research should be of interest not just to marketers and BD professionals, but also partners and management teams. 

 

Tim Nightingale founded Nisus Consulting 15 years ago and was the first consultancy to focus on CRM and client research in the professional services sector.  Nisus started producing its FTSE based research reports in 1992.  Tim has an MBA, is a Fellow of the CIM and a full member of the MRS.
